The last observation suggests that depression formed over the Northern Andaman lay Sea focused on 0830 hours IST today, 7 October 2014 near latitude 11.50 N and longitude 95.00 E, about 250 km east southeast of Long Island. It would move west-northwest direction and intensify into a deep depression in the next 24 hours and subsequently Cyclonic storm. It would pass near the Andaman & Nicobar Island Long Island tomorrow morning. Then the system will continue to move West-northwestwards for some time, and after northwestwards towards north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts during next 72 hours.

Heavy rainfall warning. a system, rainfall at most places under the influence of heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places and isolated extremely heavy fall (> -25 cm), which takes place during the subsequent 48 hours.

Wind Warning: squally wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph would prevail and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands during next 12 hours. The wind speed will gradually increase, reaching 7-80 kmph wind speed gate tomorrow, the 8th of October 2014 in the morning.

Sea state. Sea conditions around Andaman and Nicobar Islands rough very rough. It can become very rough to high in the next 24 hours.

Injury & Nicobar Islands is expected over Andaman: Damage to thatched huts. Breaking tree branches causing minor damage to power and communication lines.

Action proposed: Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along and off Andaman and Nicobar Islands during next 48 hours.
