The last observation suggests that depression formed over the Northern Andaman lay Sea focused on 0830 hours IST today, 7 October 2014 near latitude 11.50 N and longitude 95.00 E, about 250 km east southeast of Long Island. It would move west-northwest direction and intensify into a deep depression in the next 24 hours and subsequently Cyclonic storm. It would pass near the Andaman & Nicobar Island Long Island tomorrow morning. Then the system will continue to move West-northwestwards for some time, and after northwestwards towards north Andhra Pradesh and Odisha coasts during next 72 hours.
Heavy rainfall warning. a system, rainfall at most places under the influence of heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places and isolated extremely heavy fall (> -25 cm), which takes place during the subsequent 48 hours.
Wind Warning: squally wind speed reaching 45-55 kmph would prevail and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands during next 12 hours. The wind speed will gradually increase, reaching 7-80 kmph wind speed gate tomorrow, the 8th of October 2014 in the morning.
